CharDham Yatra:
CharDham Yatra started with the opening of the doors of Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham. Till now lakhs of devotees have visited. But during the journey to the mountains, the health of some people also deteriorates. In such a situation, you can do this test at home. This will tell whether you are fit for the journey or not.

The Char Dham Yatra of Uttarakhand started with the opening of the doors of Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham on 10 May. More than a month has passed since then. So far lakhs of devotees have visited. Some people are also facing health problems during the Char Dham Yatra. People are facing breathing problems and heart related problems in the mountains, although people go on the journey only after getting a medical certificate, but in some cases, health suddenly deteriorates after going to the mountains. In such a situation, you should know how fit you are for the journey. You can also test your fitness at home in some ways.

Dr. Subhash Giri, former director of Lady Hardinge Medical Hospital, Delhi, says that before traveling to the mountains, you have to take care of many things. There are some tests that you can do at home with the help of medical devices. First of all, you should check your blood pressure. If your BP is between 114.5 to 75.5, then it is normal, but if it is more or less than this, then you need to consult a doctor. If the BP is high or low, then you should not travel to the mountains. Doing so increases the risk of heart-related problems at high altitude.

Check oxygen

You can check your oxygen level at home with a pulse oximeter. If your oxygen level is less than 90, you should not travel. Going to high altitudes can cause lack of oxygen in the body. Which can cause lung related diseases.

Apart from this, you must also check your sugar level. Your sugar level should never be more than 150 while travelling to the mountains. If it is more than this, then avoid going on the journey.

Avoid travelling if you have a Covid history

If you have had a serious corona infection, travel only on the advice of your doctor. Because even after recovering from Covid, some people have the problem of infection in the lungs. The lungs are not strong. Since there is a lack of oxygen in hilly areas, such people may have problems. There is also a risk of infection in the lungs.

Keep these things in mind

If you are going on a mountain trip, then definitely keep a first aid box with you. Keep a small oxygen cylinder, warm clothes, water bottles and necessary medicines in it. Use them when needed.
