This time PM Modi's foreign tour can start from Italy. He will participate in the G7 summit here. The G7 summit will be held in Borgo Egnazia (Fasano), Italy from 13 to 15 June. PM Modi is likely to reach the summit for a day on June 14. During the visit of Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni to New Delhi in March 2023, Italy and India elevated their bilateral relations to a strategic partnership.

Italy got the presidency this year

The G7 summit is an informal international forum whose member countries are Italy, Canada, France, Germany, Japan, the UK and the US. Italy assumed its presidency on January 1 this year. After the G7 summit, Switzerland is going to host the Ukraine Peace Summit, in which 90 countries and organizations (half from Europe) will participate.
