In an interview given to a YouTube channel, Karan told that he and Mona were dating each other during the serial 'Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin'. Both of them used to work together for 18 hours on the set of the serial. While working together, they started spending more time with each other, first they became friends, and then they fell in love. But when Karan proposed Mona for marriage, she refused this relationship. And both of them parted ways. Karan says that at that time he could not understand at all why Mona broke up with him.
