Bollywood's legendary actress Zeenat Aman was going to make her comeback with the web series 'Showstopper'. But due to financial constraints, the work on this series was stopped midway. Recently, the show's producer and director Manish Harishankar has said in a conversation with a media portal that the work on the series has not stopped. At present, post-production work is going on on this series. From actors to production-crew members, everyone has been paid their 90-95 fees. During this, he made a big disclosure and also said that he has filed a fraud complaint against actress Digangana Suryavanshi.
According to media reports, the makers of 'Showstopper' have filed a complaint against Digangana Suryavanshi in the police station under sections 420 and 406 of the IPC. MH Films has issued a notice to Digangana as well as her fashion designer Krishna Parmar and actor Rakesh Bedi. According to this complaint, Digangana had assured the producer that she and Akshay Kumar would work as presenters in this project. So in the legal notice, the makers have accused Rakesh Bedi and Krishna of defaming them by spreading false news about them.
Digangana Suryavanshi took 6 crores in the name of Akshay Kumar
According to the complaint filed by Manish Harishankar, Digangana had earlier signed an MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) with the makers. In this deal, Akshay Kumar and Digangana Suryavanshi were allowed to be the presenters of this series. While making this deal, Digangana had asked for Rs 75 lakh for herself and Rs 6 crore in the name of Akshay Kumar.
Digangana threatened
Director Manish Harishankar's lawyer Falguni Brahmbhatt says that Digangana wanted to extort a lot of money from him. The actress also threatened that if the money was not given to her, Harishankar would have to face dire consequences. Falguni has informed the police about this threat and has demanded appropriate action in this entire matter.
Are the allegations against Digangana false?
However, some media reports believe that the allegations leveled against Digangana Suryavanshi may be completely false. It is being said on their behalf that Manish Harishankar has not given any money to Digangana till now. And yet they are accusing the actress of fraud. When a person takes money from another and does not fulfill his promise, it is called fraud. The deal that Manish Harishankar is talking about is completely wrong. Manish Harishankar has filed a complaint against Showstopper actors Digangana Suryavanshi, Rakesh Bedi, Ashmit Joshi. Because now they do not want to return the money of the investors. The work of this series has been stopped for two years. Manish Harishankar's show could not be marketed properly. And Digangana also has proof of these things against Manish.
