On this occasion, he interacted with the shareholders of Adani Group and also told about the company's future plans. One of these is the redevelopment project of Dharavi in Mumbai....

Billionaire industrialist Gautam Adani celebrates his 62nd birthday on Monday. Even at this age, he is working day and night to give a new direction to his business, that is why on his birthday he addressed the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Adani Group. Not only this, on this occasion he also informed the shareholders about the company's future plans, and also talked about the Dharavi redevelopment project.

The Adani Group has got the contract to redevelop Mumbai's slum area Dharavi. This project has been pending for about 16 years and different works were done on it at different times, but it could not reach its destination. Now the responsibility of this project has been given to the Adani Group.

The fate of 10 lakh people will change

Talking about the Dharavi redevelopment project in the AGM, Gautam Adani called it the world's largest redevelopment project. He said that in the coming decade, his group will redevelop Dharavi in Mumbai. This will not only provide a dignified life to 10 lakh residents here, but a new ecosystem of sustainable living will also develop here in the heart of Mumbai. Innovation will also be seen in redevelopment of this scale.

Slums will become skyscrapers

If we talk about Dharavi's redevelopment project, then Adani Group has started a survey here in February this year. People and residents are being identified, on the basis of which they will get a new home after redevelopment. At the same time, many small-medium scale industries here will also flourish. According to the redevelopment plan, after the completion of the project, this place will emerge as a big real estate asset for Mumbai.

Under the Dharavi Redevelopment Project, the people residing here are not only to be provided with better living space. There is also a provision to protect their small businesses. Along with the rehabilitation of the people, upskilling of the population here, development of research centers, data centers and MSME help desks is also being said.

Benefit from Dharavi redevelopment

Dharavi has a population of around 10 lakhs while the entire area is spread over around 600 acres. It lies right in the middle of today's Mumbai. One of its boundaries touches Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC), one of the world's most premium office spaces, while the other edge connects to Dadar and Mahim. It is just 10 km away from Mumbai's current airport. That means it is the most prime land in Mumbai.

After the completion of Dharavi redevelopment project, 20 to 30 percent of the land in this area will remain free, which will be about 30 lakh square feet area. In such a situation, a new commercial and premium residential hub can be built on such a large prime location. After the completion of the project, Adani Group can work on commercial and residential projects here. It is possible that it may become the largest owner of commercial properties in Mumbai.
