Mahabharat Katha: Not because of Bhima's attack... then how did Duryodhana die?

Mahabharat Katha: According to the story of Mahabharat, everyone thinks that Duryodhan was killed by Bhima. But this is not true. If Bhima was not the reason behind Duryodhan's death, then what was the real reason behind Duryodhan's death? Let's find out.

Mahabharat Katha: In the Mahabharata war, the Kauravas fought with Adharma and the Pandavas fought with Dharma on the battlefield of Kurukshetra. During the Mahabharata war, many such special incidents happened which even today serve as a lesson for the people. During this war, Arjuna received the teachings of the Gita from Lord Krishna. The Mahabharata war lasted for a total of 18 days, which ended with the death of Duryodhan.

Bhima injured Duryodhana

In the last phase of the Mahabharata war, Bhima and Duryodhan had a mace fight. Bhima was continuously attacking Duryodhan's body with a mace, but Duryodhan's body had turned into iron due to the divine sight of his mother Gandhari. Shri Krishna knew this and at that time Shri Krishna signaled Bhima to attack his thigh. As soon as he got the signal from Shri Krishna, Bhima started attacking Duryodhan's thigh. The part of the thigh was not made of iron, due to which he got injured.

Ashwathama made a promise to Duryodhana

When Duryodhan was writhing in pain after being injured by Bhima's mace attack, Ashwatthama, Kritavarma and Kripacharya came there. Seeing Duryodhan writhing in pain, Ashwatthama resolved to kill the Pandavas. He reached the Pandavas' camp to kill them but instead of the Pandavas, their sons were sleeping there. Ashwatthama mistook them for the Pandavas and cut off their heads and took them to Duryodhan.

Duryodhan died due to grief over the destruction of his dynasty

When Ashwatthama reached Duryodhan with the heads of the Pandavas' sons, Duryodhan was very sad to see this because he wanted to destroy the Pandavas but did not want to see the destruction of the clan. The entire Kuru clan was destroyed due to the death of all the sons of the Pandavas. For which Duryodhan scolded Ashwatthama that I had asked you to destroy the Pandavas but you destroyed my clan. It is believed that Duryodhan immediately gave up his life in grief over this.
