Why snakes do not bite pregnant women
Snakes have some natural senses that help them to easily detect whether a woman is pregnant or not. This is because after pregnancy, certain elements are formed in a woman's body that snakes can easily detect. Despite this, what are the reasons due to which snakes do not bite pregnant women? The answers to all these questions are found in our religious scriptures.
The answer is hidden in the Puranas
According to a story in Brahmavaivarta Purana, a pregnant woman was doing penance in the temple of Lord Shiva. She was completely absorbed in penance. During that time, two snakes came to the temple and started disturbing the pregnant woman, due to which the woman's concentration was disturbed. On this, the child growing in the woman's womb cursed the entire snake clan due to the disturbance of penance that from today onwards, if any snake, serpent or serpent goes near a pregnant woman, they will become blind. After which, this belief became popular that snakes become blind on seeing a pregnant woman and do not bite a pregnant woman. According to the story, the child born from the womb of this woman later became famous by the name of Shri Goga Ji Dev, Shri Teja Ji Dev and Jaharveer.
keep these things in mind
In Hinduism, killing a snake is considered a great sin. It is believed that a person has to suffer its ill-effects for many births and a pregnant woman should never kill snakes. Going close to a snake can knowingly or unknowingly harm the pregnant woman and the baby in her womb. If you see a snake near a pregnant woman, be careful immediately.
