Although this month is special for all the devotees of Lord Shiva, but if we talk about the religious city of Ujjain, then this entire Sawan month is going to be very special for the devotees of Baba Mahakal because in this month Baba Mahakal will go on a city tour 5 times.
A 'Mahasanyog' is happening after 72 years
Astrologer Pt. Chandan Shyamnarayan Vyas, Peethadheeshwar of Gumandev Peeth, said that this year's Sawan month is bringing a great coincidence after 72 years. This time Preeti Yoga is being formed with Sawan Nakshatra in Sawan month. Sawan month is considered a major occasion for the worship of Lord Shiva, that is why devotees perform the most worship, abhishek and rituals of the Lord in this month.
Pandit Chandan Guru said that along with the Mahasanyog, this year the month of Sawan will be of 29 days only. Its excitement will be seen in the country and abroad as well as in the city of Baba Mahakal, Ujjain. In the city of Baba Mahakal, thousands of devotees come to see Baba Mahakal every day, but in this Mahasanyog, the number of devotees will cross 2 to 3 lakhs per day.
Baba Mahakal's procession will be taken out 5 times in the month of Sawan
Pandit Mahesh Sharma, priest of Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple, says that the month of Sawan has brought happiness for the devotees of Baba Mahakal because in this month Baba Mahakal will come out to give darshan to his devotees in his royal form in a grand procession. Baba Mahakal's first procession will be on 22 July, second procession on 29 July, third procession on 5 August, fourth procession on 12 August and fifth procession on 19 August with great pomp and show.
Preparations have started in Mahakal temple for the month of Saavan
Moolchand Junwal, assistant administrator of the world famous Shri Mahakaleshwar temple, said that preparations for the month of Sawan have already begun in the Mahakaleshwar temple. The number of devotees visiting to see Baba Mahakal has already reached lakhs. Every Saturday, Sunday and Monday, more than one lakh devotees visit Baba Mahakal in Ujjain.
Whereas on the remaining days of the week, about 50 to 60 thousand devotees are coming to Ujjain to have darshan of Baba Mahakal. Moolchand Junwal ji further tells that right now everything is going on normally but as soon as the month of Sawan starts, it is estimated that 3 lakh devotees will come to have darshan of Baba Mahakal every day. This is the reason that this time the devotees of Baba Mahakal will be given darshan from 6 entry gates.
