Skanda Sashti Vrat 2024: In Hinduism, Lord Skanda (Karthikeya), the sixth son of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati, is worshipped with rituals on the Shashthi of Shukla Paksha of Jyeshtha month. The Shashthi Tithi of the Shukla Paksha of Jyeshtha month will begin on Tuesday, June 11 at 5:27 pm and will end on Wednesday, June 12 at 7:17 pm. According to the Udayatithi, the festival of Skanda Shashthi will be celebrated on June 12 itself.
Do worship like this on Skanda Shashthi
On the day of Skanda Shashthi, after taking bath early in the morning, offer water to the rising sun and chant Surya Mantra.
Worship Lord Ganesha and the Navgrahas and invoke the gods.
Install the idol of Lord Kartikeya and worship him with Shodashopachar method.
On the day of Skanda Shashthi, offer clothes, ornaments, fragrance, flowers, incense, lamps and offerings etc. to Lord Kartikeya.

Chant the mantra “Om Skanda Shivaya Namah” during the puja.
