Kolkata Knight Riders, who recently won IPL 2024, got Rs 20 crore.

The runner-up team winning the ninth edition of the tournament will receive USD 1.28 million (Rs 10.6 crore).

England and Afghanistan teams who finish their journey in the semi-finals will also be rich

In the T20 World Cup 2024, the journey of defending champions England and Afghanistan could not go beyond the semi-finals. However, both these teams will get a huge amount despite being out. The ICC had announced to give US $ 787,500 to every team that makes it to the semi-finals. For this reason, England will get Rs 6.5 crore. At the same time, Afghanistan will also get the same amount of money.

Super 8 and teams ranked 9th to 20th will also get crores of rupees

The ICC had announced a prize money of US $ 382,500 for the teams reaching the Super 8. Therefore, any team that finishes its journey at that stage will get Rs 3.17 crore. At the same time, the teams ranked 9th to 12th will be given US $ 247,500 (Rs 2.05 crore), while every team ranked 13th to 20th will get US $ 225,000 (Rs 1.87 crore).

Apart from this, the ICC had also announced to give additional US $ 31,154 (Rs 25.89 lakh) to the team winning each match in the group stage and Super 8.
