-Even if you are not fasting on the day of Nirjala Ekadashi, you should still not consume salt. Consuming tamasic things on the day of Nirjala Ekadashi is considered very inauspicious.
-On the day of Nirjala Ekadashi, worship the Peepal tree and offer water.
-Plant trees on the day of Nirjala Ekadashi. Plant Peepal, Banyan, Neem trees at the temple or in a public place.
-Donation must be made on the day of Nirjala Ekadashi, only then the fast is complete. Donating a cow on the day of Nirjala Ekadashi is considered the best. Along with this, one should also donate a pitcher filled with water.
