Shahrukh Khan and Ness Wadia clashed with each other, chaos ensued in the meeting of BCCI and IPL owners

BCCI Meet IPL Owners: Before the upcoming IPL 2025 season, BCCI officials had a meeting with the IPL team owners at the BCCI headquarters on Wednesday (31 July). There was a lot of ruckus in this meeting and Kolkata Knight Riders co-owner Shah Rukh Khan also clashed with Punjab Kings co-owner Ness Wadia. The situation was such that there was a lot of debate between these two.

According to the Cricbuzz report, Shahrukh Khan is not in favor of holding a mega auction. According to a BCCI source, Shahrukh Khan also wants the teams to retain as many players as possible. However, Punjab Kings co-owner Ness Wadia is not in favor of this at all. He wants fewer players to be retained and teams to be formed afresh. This is the reason why there was a ruckus between the two and there was a lot of debate.

Also know that in the meeting of BCCI and IPL owners, Shah Rukh Khan also got the support of Sunrisers Hyderabad owner Kavya Maran. Kavya is also in favor of retaining as many players as possible. Giving the reasoning behind this, she said that it takes a lot of time to build any team and it also takes a lot of time and investment for a young player to mature. Abhishek Sharma took three years to bring consistency in his performance. She also said that there are many such examples in other teams as well. Also know that during this meeting, the impact player rule was also discussed and two factions were seen on this too.

Let us tell you that Kiran Kumar and Parth Jindal of Delhi Capitals, Sanjiv Goenka of Lucknow Super Giants, Rupa Gurunath of Chennai Super Kings, Pratamesh Mishra of Royal Challengers Bangalore and Manoj Badale of Rajasthan Royals also attended this meeting. Apart from these, many team owners attended the meeting through video conference, among which Mumbai Indians was also one. After the meeting, Delhi Capitals owner Parth Jindal said that he is in support of the mega auction. He was shocked to see the debate on this issue, but personally he has supported it.
