Dhoni further said, 'It becomes very difficult to choose a favourite batsman because we have so many good batsmen, but I am not saying that the bowlers are bad. It just becomes difficult to choose a batsman, whoever you see batting, it seems that he is the best and you have to watch him. But then someone else comes and he also does equally well. As long as Team India keeps doing well, I would not like to choose any batsman, but I have picked a bowler.'

Bumrah made his debut under Thala's captaincy

An ODI series was being played between India and Australia and in the last match of this series, Bumrah got his debut cap during the Sydney ODI. In his very first international match, Bumrah took 2 wickets for 40 runs in 10 overs. After this, just three days later, Bumrah also got the T20 cap and then in 2018 he made his Test debut which was under the captaincy of Virat Kohli.
