In the match against Arunachal Pradesh this season, Agni scored 110 runs in the first innings and an unbeaten 238 runs in the second innings. With this, he became the first batsman to score both a century and a double century in a Ranji Trophy match. Overall, he is only the second Indian batsman after Sunil Gavaskar to score a century and a double century in the same match of first-class cricket.
