Afghanistan A became the champion of Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2024 by beating Sri Lanka A by 7 wickets

 


 In the final of ACC Mens T20 Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2024 (ACC Mens T20 Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2024), Afghanistan A defeated Sri Lanka A by 7 wickets and captured the title. Bilal Sami and Sediqullah Atal performed the match winning performance for Afghanistan A. 

Sri Lanka A scored 133 runs by losing 7 wickets in 20 overs while batting first. Sahan Arachige scored the most runs for the team. He played an unbeaten half-century of 64 runs in 47 balls with the help of 6 fours. Nimesh Vimukti contributed 23 runs in 19 balls with the help of one four and one six. 

Arachige and Nimesh added 42 (32) runs for the sixth wicket. Pawan Rathnayake scored 20 runs in 21 balls with the help of a six. Arachige and Pawan shared a partnership of 50(46) runs for the 5th wicket. Bilal Sami took the most 3 wickets from Afghanistan A side. Allah Ghazanfar managed to grab 2 wickets. 

Chasing the target, the Afghanistan A team won the match by losing 3 wickets and scoring 134 runs in 18.1 overs. Sediqullah Atal scored a half-century of 55* runs in 55 balls with the help of 3 fours. Karim Janat scored 33 runs in 27 balls with the help of 3 sixes. Atal and Janat added 52 (52) runs for the third wicket. Captain Darwish Rasooli contributed 24 runs in 20 balls with the help of 2 fours and a six. Atal and Rasooli shared a partnership of 43 (37) runs for the second wicket.
