#BoycottMaritalRapeLaw: Every husband will go to jail in the game of marriage, victim men raised the demand by protesting against the marital rape law

#BoycottMaritalRapeLaw: In the capital Delhi, many organizations often stage protests for their demands. They convey their views to the government. Many times protests are also held in protest. Such protests are common in Delhi. But on Sunday, a protest took place outside the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, which caught everyone's attention. Especially the slogans and placards of the protesters. Actually, this protest was not of any political organization or party, but it was a protest of husbands suffering from their wives. These people were protesting against the proposed law regarding marital rape.

- In the game of marriage, every husband will go to jail.

- If the wife does it, it's love, if the husband does it, it's rape.

- For the love of his wife, the husband went to Tihar Jail.

- Don't give me a son in my next birth.

..and God knows how many such slogans were being raised by about 75 people protesting outside the gate of Delhi's Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on Sunday. They also had placards with these slogans written on them in their hands. The people protesting outside the stadium were those who are suffering from their wives in some way or the other. They have become victims of their harassment or their blackmailing. Among these people, there were some people who have not even met their children for many years. Because their wives have thrown them out of the house. And some do not even allow the children to meet their father. Some husbands are such that despite having their own house, they live in rented houses.

Actually, all these wife-victim protesters had gathered there to protest against the proposed law on marital rape. All of them were drawing people's attention because of their slogans and placards. Delhi High Court advocate Manish Sindhwani was leading this protest. He himself has been a wife-victim. After becoming a victim himself, he decided to help such people who are suffering from their wives. Due to this, he started Nyay Prayas Foundation.

During the protest, advocate Manish Sindhwani said that if this law is passed, then men living in every house can be called rapists and sent to jail. Even on a minor quarrel, the wife can send the husband to jail. The husband can be blackmailed. There is talk of consensual relations, but the question is who will decide the consent? The consent of the night can be changed the next day after any dispute or quarrel.

Manish Sindhwani said that the laws made in the name of women's safety have been misused a lot. Be it domestic violence or dowry harassment or sexual violence. In most of the cases, women have been harassing their husbands in the name of these laws. In such a situation, if this new law is also passed, then women will get another law to misuse against men.

One of the protesters, Sumit Sinha, said that if such one-sided laws against men continue to be made, then in the future, the youth will start shying away from the name of marriage and the institution of marriage will also get a bad name. Sumit claims that because of his wife, he has not been able to meet his 6-year-old daughter for the last three years.

Nyay Prayas Foundation is working for the legal aid of victimized husbands. Many such victimized husbands have come to it, who themselves are victims of violence and blackmailing. Their wives constantly demand money from them. If the money is not given, they keep filing false cases against their husbands and their parents. In many cases, it has also been seen that the husband was thrown out of the house and his property was also taken over.

Let us tell you that the law on marital rape has not been made yet and discussions are going on in the Supreme Court of India. The next hearing on this is to be held on 22 October. Nyay Prayas Foundation is demanding that this law should not be passed. And is constantly opposing this law. The organization believes that this law will be misused the most and the institution of marriage will fail.
